StoneSheets® Designer Series pairs Onyx with Glass, showing off the exotic, unique properties of this translucent stone. Any type of glass is chosen (tempered, starfire, structural, or other custom options), and bonded with an UV protected epoxy to choice of any Onyx or coordinating stone. The translucent properties of the glass support replaces the need for traditional steel reinforcement channels, which are usually required when fabricating with onyx, and allows the stone to glow through the use of light boxes or LED blankets..
The cut-to-size pieces of StoneSheets® Designer Series provides easy execution of back-lit onyx designs when paired with LED type substrates, articulated light papers, or in conjunction with different custom built light boxes, illuminating the intricate properties of onyx. No artificial surface can compare to the mesmerizing features of this natural characteristics of the different Onyx stones. Different thicknesses of glass and stone can be used to create the precise piece to work with a variety of products from a multitude of industries and applications, from the most practical to artistic displays of stone.
Trim pieces are available in custom designs to finish any revealed edges, or exotic requests to compliment pieces, are available to coordinate with our other StoneSheets® materials.
