Quartzite stone options for all available StoneSheets® materials - some not available in SlimSlabs®
Quartzite is a hard, non-foliated metamorphic rock which was originally pure quartz sandstone, and was converted by heat and pressure of tectonic plates. Pure quartzite is usually white to grey, though quartzites often occur in various shades of pink and red due to varying amounts of iron oxide. Quartzite is often layed down with sandstone, and so the appearance often varies by type. Azul Macauba is often considered a marble, but in fact it is a quartzite; this instance will polish well, whereas Alta Riven does not.
Quartzite is often desired in its expressed rigid texture, and due to the characteristics of the stone, often require more material to account for waste, making it one of the more expensive options. Available honed, some available polished, and some available in textures; this stone type varies according to type. Quartzite is available in most stone veneer panel options, though most are not available in SlimSlabs®.
